Are there onboard activities too?
I haven't heard or seen anything anywhere other than the casino, showroom, theatre...which are great too
I am refering to things like dance lessions, bridge games, cribbage, shuffle board, Trivia?
Do they have books to read in the Explorers lounge?End Quote.
There's more to do on board than you'll have time for (big Grin).
Seriously, there's always something going on - a Daily Program will be in your cabin after dinner each evening. The goings on for the next day will be all spelled out, including the dress code and you can plan from there.
Hi. There are plenty of activities on a HAL ship. Witness such things as, lectures that are very educational while being entertaining, cooking classes, bingo, trivia, board games, card games, passenger contests, stage participation games, lip synch shows, passenger talent shows and many, many more, I love HAL
Holland America Cruises do include bridge games, and trivia. There is also line dancing lessons, cooking lessons, art auctions, and a lecture series. Another activity which is fun for some people is to joint the cruise guest talent show.
Wonder if you can learn to play bridge on a longer voyage? I've always wanted to do that, but never have the time at home. My 30-day Hawaii/South Pacific cruise in January would seem the perfect place to start.
