Statendam has self-service laundry rooms on the ship (check the deck plans for locations) or you can send your laundry to the cleaners. Wash is s$2.00 and dryer $1.00. Soap is provided - machines take quarters, which are available from the front office if you don't have enough.
Sometimes they have specials on laundry and dry cleaning, but I can't give you a price as each ship seems to be different.
Rachel - I understand that the dryers on the Statendam don't give you much time for the dollar so you may need 2 or 3 for a load. I hate to spend the time in the laundry so I wash a few things from time to time and hang them on the line over the tub. I will have to use it this time as the cruise is long so I plan on taking my own soap with me - because of allergies.
The laundry services offered are very expensive - at least in my opinion. We had a friend that ran up a large laundry bill because he didn't check the prices first - $160 I think it was. I have never seen any specials on laundry and dry cleaning - perhaps that is a new thing?
They almost always run a "special" all the laundry you can fit in the bag provided - returned ironed and folded for $18 0r $20 -- usually after several days into the cruise - just when you need some clean things -- a good deal -- of course, the Statendam has a couple of self-serve laundromats - pretty fairly priced.
