We will be a party of 7, three generations including a 9 month old who is the only infant I have ever met who does not cry! (sighs of relief all around from fellow passengers).
We are veteran cruisers, first time on HAL.
Do they allow you to bring your own liquor on board for in cabin consumption?
Is there a shallow splash pool on the Zuiderdam (have read conflicting descriptions)?
Sorry - you cannot bring liquour or beer on board. Only wine and champagne. If you want liqour for consumpation in your cabin, you can order it through Ship's Services

HAL no longer has kiddie pools for the younger set. They have closed the ones they had on the other ships due to health regulations. I don't think the Vista ships ever had the splash pools. Babies/children in diapers are not allowed in the other pools. Sorry.
The last time we were aboard an HAL ship was 2 years ago. At that time you could purchase bottles of liquor aboard at a fairly reasonable price for consumption in your room. Don't know if they still allow hat or not. All the lines are pretty strict about bringing your own aboard these dasy because they make a ton of money selling us drinks.
