Default Room S30

My Parents have just been reassigned to room S30. They had requested S26 in February and have paid for the trip in full. I didn't think your room could be changed at this late date. Anyway has anyone stayed in S30 and can they tell me how it differs from other Suites?

Thanks

Peggy Jean

If you are talking about the S class ships, we have stayed in Suite 30 twice, on the Maasdam and on the Veendam. It is a disability suite, the only difference is there is no bathtub, only a large shower with two seats in it

Their TA should have given them a written confirmation at the time they made their deposit. If that written confirmation says they are to be in cabin S026 (all HAL cabin numbers on Statendam class ships are three digits), that is the cabin they should be assigned to. If they do not wish to be moved out of that cabin, they should refuse. HAL has accepted that reservation and they should have S026.

We have been on HAL ships hundreds and hundreds of nights; all of those nights in an "S" cabin, and we have ALWAYS occupied the cabin that we chose and booked by specific number.

Truthfully, this does not make sense to me. I think there has to something more to this that we do not know about.

HAL would not purposefully move them out of the cabin they booked.

Please let us know if (how) they resolve this issue.
