My family and I have cruised seven times. This upcoming February we will be going on our 2nd HAL cruise. I was just wondering if the "Mariner" logo on our luggage tags ensures that we get our bags brought up to the stateroom faster??? If anyone knows, please reply.. Also, having been on 5 Carnival Ships , I know there was a past guest cocktail party aboard Carnival. Does anyone know if Holland does something similar.
It just indicates it's your 2nd cruise with HAL and you signed up for the "Mariner Society". I've never heard of priority delivery of luggage on any cruise. I have used the Skipper's club on Carnival and my luggage wasn't delivered any earlier than usual. This should answer your questions, it's from their website: http://www.hollandamerica.com/mariner/mariner.do
Mariner Society benefits include:
Preferred pricing on many Holland America Line cruises.

Lapel pins and medallions to acknowledge your Holland America Line cruise history.
A special Collectable gift in your cabin one evening.
Complimentary subscription to Mariner, a full-color magazine featuring news and Mariner Society savings for our most frequent guests.

Mariner Logo baggage tags means absolutely nothing. We were in an "S" Suite on our last cruise and we didn't get our luggage any faster than on our many previous HAL cruises, in fact, I think it arrived later than it normally does.
This being your 2nd HAL cruise, you will be invited to the Mariner's Reception and you will each receive a HAL tile.
