Default Whats included in price for cruise?

This is probably an old question but what is included in the price of the cruise? Meals, pop, coffee, my husband is finally asking questions and I must come up with all the answers.
Going to Alaska in May 2006 on the Oosterdam.
All tips on the above and packing are welcome as this is our first cruise.

Pop is not included in the price of your cruise. Also, lemonade is free only when it is passed around the pool areas in the morning.

On the Westerdam they did have juice machines at the Lido restaurant. This may only be on the Vista ships, which the Oosterdam is,....... have never seen them on the other ships.

Meggy, On packing, one thing Holland America ships have that many others don't is self serve laundries. This makes it possible, especially on longer cruises, to pack a little lighter and use a day at sea to do a little washing. The machines take quarters which you can get from the purser or the casino. They also have laundry service and cleaning but this is not free. Don't know when your cruise to Alaska is, but you should take clothes that you can "layer" depending on the outside temperature.

Have to correct you there richstacy - the Vista ships do not have self-serve laundries, so it depends on which ship Meggy is sailing on. When we were on the Westerdam they had a laundry special - $12.00 per bag and we were able to get a lot into that blue bag.

Wow, didn't know the Vista class ships didn't have them. Wonder why not? That's something we really like about Holland ships. I know the Volendam and Ryndam do and I know the Statendam does too. I can't imagine going on a long cruise (14 days +) without a self service laundry.
