There are no aft cabins on the Volendam like there are on the Vista ships (Zuiderdam, Westerdam, Oosterdam), that is facing the back. What particular cabin are you referring to?
I have stayed in cabin 7067 and loved it back there as it was so nice and quiet and close to the Lido, elevators and pool.

There are a couple of inside I cat' cabins right at the back that look interesting.
There are two Cat I cabins at the aft of the navigation deck on the Volemdam. Although sold as inside cabins, both have large windows opening out onto a small deack space with lounge chairs overlooking the stern of the ship. This space is typically occupied with people getting sun and air from about 10 in the morning until 5 or 6 in the evening. If you book the one of these cabins you'll get a real bargin. I didn't but booked a mini-suite across the passage way -- OK I got a nice bathrobe and some stationary -- and wished I'd know about these two gems of cabins.
