We are traveling to the Carribean at Easter this year with our two teenage daughters. We are very excited. I am wondering if they have veranda cabins with connecting doors. Anyone traveled with teens on the Zuiderdam? Did they have a good time? Will they let them do shore excursions alone or do they need a parent? They are 16 and 17. It is Easter time so I am thinking there will be other teens on board.
Yes, some of the cabins have connecting doors. Check out the deck plans either in a HAL brochure or on their website. www.hollandamerica.com. Click on "Elegant Ships", Zuiderdam, Deck Plans. You will see a symbol guide on the left showing the symbol for connecting cabins.
You will have to check with the Shorex Desk about your daughters going on excursions with their parents.
I am sure there will be a lot of teens on the ship.
