Default Prices for bottles of liquor purchased onboard

I know I've seen this info but can't find it. Could someone let me know what, say, a bottle of Smirnoff (or equivalent) will cost if we buy it onboard? Thanks.

Clo, are you talking about purchasing it and taking it back to the cabin or duty free to take home? If you are thinking of buying it on board and drining it in the cabin, no lines allow this anymore: if you just want to buy it duty free it depends on the ship and the itinerary. The ships claim to have the best deals, but this, normally isn't the case. Again, it depends on the itinerary. If you are doing the eastern or southern Caribbean you can get it cheaper on some of the islands. If you are talking about New England, Alaska or transatlantic, the ship is the best deals. You purchase what you want and either have it delivered to your cabin the last night or pick it up after a certain time that night. NMnita 8)

You may pre-order it from shipboard services. You can contact them through Ship Services. Liquor prices vary but most will run you around $30 to $40 per liter. I used this in March. I find this a great way to arrange for in-cabin bar set up. However I find it strange that mixers cannot be ordered.

There is also a in-cabin bar service that is available through room service where a number of different liquors can be purchased at around the same price with mixers. These are also full liter bottles. The in-cabin bar menu was in my cabin on my Statendam cruise in March.

Purchasing liquor in the gift shop and taking it back to your cabin or purchasing it on shore and bringing it to your cabin is not allowed. It will be held for you until the last night of your cruise.

Take care,
Mike

Mike, NCL has the same thing, you can order boozed but no mixes; I too, think it's strange. On Celebrity the bar set up come with mixers depending on what you order: It is also about twice as expensive. NMnita
