I would think if it's a new book it is probably correct. You could always call HA and ask them. They'll be glad to help you out.

Well, books take much longer to get in print than a website. And HAL's website is showing Kona as a port of call on this itinerary.

With the next port being Hionolulu the next day, I agree with Jim. Christmas Island is below the equator. I believe you are going to Kona. Sorry if that disappoints you.

HI PAUL,

IN THE OLD BOOK HONOLULU IS THE NEXT DAY AFTER KONA, BUT IN NEWEST BOOK THE LISTING IS NOV 16TH, CHRISTMAS ISLAND, THEN TWO DAYS AT SEA, ARRIVING IN HONOLULU ON THE 19TH.
AM STILL TRYING TO FIND ANYONE WHO HAVE BEEN ON AN EXTENDED CRUISE, FOR ANY HINTS OR TIPS, RE THE SAILING AND THE PORTS OF CALL.

THANKS

You are correct, it would be possible to hit Christmas island in that space. I was looking for the "typo" factor, but that doesn't apply here. You need to have your travel agent call HAL and find out.

Web sites are not always up to date. either, and if the old book said Kona then the web site could be outdated as well. Please let us know when you find out.
