Default How much deposit?

We are going on our first cruise in 2 weeks and I was reading through
the doc's today. We are to put down $60 per day per person the docs day
and tipping is $10 per day per person---is that included in the $60 per day
or is that on top of--not sure how much to expect them to take off of my
credit card total for a 7 day Hal cruise, does anyone know for sure???
What is the total taken off for a week and if you don't want to put it on your
card can you put it down in cash or travelers checks???

The $60 per day is an estimate. HAL calls your credit card company and "reserves" a charge of $60 per day, per person. They don't actually charge your card for that amount ... they just reserve it. Then, as the cruise goes along, they will call to get additional "reserves" if necessary (depending upon your onboard charges up to that time). Then, at the end of the cruise, you will get a printout of all your onboard charges for the cruise. Only then will HAL actually charge your credit card for them.

The $60 per day estimate includes your $10 per person, per day auto-tip.

Hope this helps.

Blue skies ...
