Default Cabin Above Lifeboats

We are booked in VF on Verandah deck after HAL customer service suggested we move from VF Upper Promenade because of solid steel railings on balcony. We are on 09/09/07 msNoordam. We are wondering about our view as we are one deck up from the lifeboats and down from the curved out balcnies to the side. They both seem to stick out pretty far from the sides. Thanks for your comments, we are excited about having a balcony.

I personally didn't want a cabin above the lifeboats so we got one just past those on Verandah deck. VC5146 It's neat to be able to see straight down and watch the people in port below you and in cruising to look down and see what's going on. We spent alot of time on our verandah on our cruise last week. You will love it.

We had VF 5064 on the Westerdam in Jan. 06 and the lifeboats were right below us, very annoying. I would choose a different cabin, and really wouldn't want the solid steel railings. The lifeboats were bad enough.
