7? 10? How Many?

How many days is your ideal? If money and time were no object, how many days would you make most of your cruises?

Well, if money were no object, I would abandon my business and cruise all the time.

But, since I do have to work for a living, 10 days seems to work great for us. That gives us plenty of travel time to and from the port and keeps us away from our business for only 2 weeks.

Money is no object huh...Well I think I will go for at least 21 days. We once got really luck and did a 14 day HAL, got off for a day and did another 10 days on a brand X ship. No problem being on the water that long. I can handle it :D

I like 15+ days, but will settle for 12.

My longest has been 14 days, I think that would the ideal time frame for me. But I would temped to try a world cruise, just to see what it would be like!

10 to 14 day cruises would be my preference but time is limited right now so that most are 7 dayers with a 10 dayer ithrown in about once a year.

I prefer voyages to cruises, so 30 days minimum would be my ideal cruise length.

To me, a seven or ten day cruise is nowhere near long enough. By the time you've decompressed from your "real" life, and gotten into the rhythm of shipboard life, it's time to pack up for disembarkation. It almost seems to me to be not worth it to take a shorter cruise.

One day I hope to be able to do all long voyages ... maybe even a World or other Grand Voyage. Now we're talking 65 days minimum. But for now, 30 days would be about my max ... and I have to be happy about that.

After thinking further, I am a slow thinker. I would to do the Pacific rim
cruise . its about 65 days . start in Vancouver, go to alaska, Russia.korea,
Japon and all the coastal countries in the far east. Now tyhat would be a dream cruise, only if I win the lottery.

Interesting - I've done 1 day cruises and 3 day cruises and have no trouble decompressing. The memories of the 1 day cruises are as vivid as the longer cruises. Maybe it is a diver thing, since we make the most of life in the hour it takes us to consume a tank of air. A 1 day cruise is a virtual 24 tank dive trip. 8)

If I could bring my bed from home I could cruise 365 days a year.

A great job of resurrecting a 6 year old thread :p

If you were to cruise 365 days a year, you would be able to bring your own bed. :)
