Default Deliver Wine to Ship from Duty Free Store (Seattle)

Going on Alaska Cruise - Oosterdam - May 24, 2008 - from Seattle. I've heard that you can buy wine or champagne in a duty free store and have it delivered to the cruise ship. This way I could have wine in my room and only pay the corking fee - instead of the high onboard price for wine? Has anyone done this and can you recommend a store in the port? Can you do this with beer too? Thanks.

Manyyears ago, there used to be a Duty Free Store in the terminal at Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale. Some cruisers bought liquor there and had it delivered right onto the ship. That is long gone.

I think that may be like what you are talking about but I don't think it exists anymore.

You are permitted to bring wine and champagne on the ship with you.
It won't be duty free but some people lug it aboard. Remember..... If you are flying, you cannot carry liquor bottles on board an airplane.
