We were warned not to cruise during holidays to avoid noise from families and children. However, is this an issue for Suite passengers who have the Neptune Lounge to retreat to? It seems that now most ships have elaborate children and teen centers to keep youngsters occupied, so maybe this is less of an issue, and we should be able to take that Christmas or New Year's cruise after all. What do others think about this?
Holiday cruises will have lots of families with children. Children staying in "S" and "PS" cabins, have Neptune Lounge privileges but in all our many HAL cruises in "S" suites, we have never been bothered by children in Neptune. They normally come in, help themselves to cookie, candy, snack or juice or whatever and leave. Very few people actually hang around in the Neptune Lounge.
We almost always go in for our coffee or snack and return to our cabin with it to enjoy.
Some folks have their light breakfast in Neptune but that is not something that appeals to us to do.
Don't worry about it. You'll be fine.
You can always retreat to your comfortable cabin and veranda and enjoy a good book, DVD or whatever else you find enjoyable.
