Default Possible 2 ships at Half moon cay?

Is it possible that there are 2 ships visiting Half Moon Cay (or any other private island) the same day?

Yes, there can be 2 ships at the time and it was horrible. Everything was over crowded.

Thanks, because I noticed that the Noordam will also be visiting Half Moon Cay on the same day as my ship

If you already knew the answer, why did you ask the question?

It is very common for two ships to be at HMC on the same day. We have shared the island a number of times and it definitely was Not Horrible. Sure we prefer when we are the only ship but with two ships in, there were plenty of lounge chairs on the beach, the bars handled the people just fine and while the lunch line sporadically got a bit long, we did not have any problem.

We always very much enjoy our day at HMC no matter if we are sharing or not.

When we were there with the Zuiderdam, also the Volendam was at HMC. It never felt overcrowded at all, not even at the buffet. Maybe the fact that we rented a cabana contributed to that feeling.
It's a wonderfull place and you need not worry about the 2 ships.

HMC can have 2 ships. It is also not a 100% stop as it is an unsheltered tender location and can be bypassed if conditions are not right.

If both ships do make it in I would try and tender over to the island very early in the AM. The port does get very crowded.

Agree on getting there early - grab your lounges on the beach. There are all sorts of "shore excursions" on the island, but the vagaries of the wind make parasailing and the boats iffy, say 80% chance. BTDT bonefishing, stingrays, banana boat, pedal boats, snorkeling, etc. If doing rays, get first group as the water clarity will quickly drop as the day goes on.

There are reef balls offshore near the kiddos water park if snorkeling.

There will be a lunch BBQ.
