Default Pinnacle Grill?

We are taking our first-ever cruise on June 1 on the Zaandam. What is the Pinnacle Grill, how is the food different, and is the $30 fee just for the privelige of eating there? Any info would be helpful and appreciated!

Ahhhh, the Zaandam. Our fist HAL experience years ago. You'll love it. We've only eaten in the Pinnacle once, but enjoyed it quite a bit. The experience is a bit more swanky than the main dining room, and more intimate. I think it was worth every cent of the $30, but realize that just my opinion.

We have traveled on the Zaandam a few times and found the PG there to be wonderful.
Amazing service and the food is out of this world. The Australian lamb chops are to die for and the crab cake appetizer is world famous.
We always eat there at least once per cruise twice if we can fit it in.
You will find the food and service comparable to a dinner you woulld pay several hundred dollars for in a similiar restaurant.

We just came back from a Hawaii cruise on Zaandam.
As elegant as HAL ships are, Pinnacle is even more so, especially on Zaandam.
The location is on deck 4=promenade, in an out of the way location, so you won't have alot of other passengers traipsing by.

The steaks are Sterling beef, flown in from Australia. All the china, table ware, linens are special and of the highest quality.
Everything is just "more.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there.

Pat

Our best meal on the Zuiderdam, was in the PG. Service to die for, excellent food, and what a pretty room. We had that dnner free, due to our booking, when we tried to book again, we had no luck..I wish we had booked several nights up front!

Mmmmmmm - my two favourites when eating in the Pinnacle. Also love the creme carmel - three different flavours on one dish.

HAL recently dropped the price to $20 for the Pinnacle. Honestly, I enjoy the regular dining room menu, and wouldn't spend the extra money.
