Zaandam Van to Hawaii Sept, 2008

Anybody else out there either going or has gone on this cruise. How was it? Couple of questions - is there a self serv. laundrette on board. Can we bring on wine or liquor on board?? How was the entertainment on board. TIA

Have done the Hawaii cruise a couple of times, but from LA a number of years ago. Both were fabulous.

Yes, the Zaandam has self-service launderettes on board, but sometimes it's just as cheap to have the ship's laundry do it. There will be a blue bag hanging in one of the closets (usually the one with the safe) and for a certain amount of $'s you can fill the bag and have the ship launder it. They do a terrific job. You are on holiday - why waste your time doing laundry. You probably do enough of that at home!

You can take all the wine/champagne you want on board but not liquour.

Just got back April 17th from this cruise RT from San Diego.

The entertainment on my cruise was great.

We opted for the $12 per bag of laundry. You can't believe all I got into that bag !
Laundry comes back folded so nicely in a wicker basket.

My TA brought liquor onboard. As to how ----no idea.

We loved this cruise.
