Just returned last Sunday from a wonderful cruise on the Westerdam. The weather was beyond great! It was clear and nearly 80 in Glacier Bay! We got within 500 feet of a glacier. No rain, it was hot in Juneau! At time the ocean was smooth as glass. Very little problem with being queasy.
We had a balcony suite on the Deck 8 starboard side (right side). It was a great room. Our neighbors were quiet, the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the food in both the dining room and the Lido restaurant. Went to the evening entertainment and it was very good.
This was our first cruise and it was a winner!
Cheryl - so glad that you enjoyed your first cruise. I am sure you will be booking many more.
You sure lucked out in the weather department and especially Glacier Bay. I've been there a few times and it's ever been that warm. Last year when we sailed the beginning of May, it was bitterly cold, rainy, foggy and rough seas, so bad in fact that we couldn't get into Ketchikan.
