HAL Amsterdam Shipboard prices

Can anyone tell me how much we can expect to spend on shipboard "extras" like photos on the Amsterdam? About how much for a mixed cocktail? Any other "Extras" we can expect? Sailing to Alaska in July ---coming from Texas, it will be welcome relief!

Expect to pay “restaurant prices” for wine, beer, and cocktails.

Photos are usually $10 - $20 each depending on size. If you see a photo you might want, do not buy it during the cruise. Instead have the photo shop save it in a file behind the photo desk. (They do it by room number.) On the last day of the cruise look over all the photos you have saved and buy only the best ones.

What you will spend abord ship is entirely up to the passenger. It may be possible to leave the ship at the end of the crusie with no ship board charge at all, thus only the daily tips will show up on your account. About pictures---purchase one of two howver I never purchase a lot as I see some passengers do. Take a good digital camer and create your own photos. The cost of on board "snapshots" is very high, anywhere from $10 to $29 for just a snapshot. I just don't find it worth the cost. About on board drinks--somethimes you will find daily specials that are somewhat reasonable. Ask for a brand name and you pay dearly for it--just like a fine bars and restaurants. If you are wine drinker think about buying by the bottle. It will still be high unless you bring your own aboard. Hard liquor normally cannot be brought aboard.

I just looked at my daily Program and the Drink of the day is $5.50 which was usually a Cosmo or similar type drink.
