prisindam cruisers

We're going on a 15 day Eastern Med. cruise early Oct. We've been on several previous HAL ships, and would like to know any specific likes or dislikes about this ship. I've read previous cruise reader reviews and have not come to any conclusion. Any comments/suggestions/tips would be greatly appreciated!

The Prinsendam is the former Royal Viking Sun. It is a nice but older and quieter ship.

It has single seating dining. The room are a bit dated but the service should be very good. It has high passenger space ratio and a high crew/passenger ratio.

We did the 7-week Mediterranean grand voyage on this ship. The elevators are the ship’s weakest characteristic. There are only four for 700-800 passengers, and they are small and slow. You will find yourself using the stairs more often. However, we liked this ship and would eagerly sail on it again.

Just completed a 14 day trip around the UK on the this ship. She was very clean,food was excellent,wife said shopping was not that good,I was thankful for that, the entertainment was also excellent The staff were just great,cant say the same for the captain, he never showed up for the welcome dinner or other events,we did however hear his voice from the bridge when he made an announcement. All in all a good ship and top notch staff.
