Internet on Maasdam?

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is an internet room on the Maasdam and also is it free or do they charge you? Also can you use your cell phone (verizon) on the ship or at the ports in Canada, and if so is it so outrageous in price it won't be worth using? Thinking internet for email to send home and check would be cheaper/free??? thanks!

No, it's not free. There is an initial set-up charge and then you can either buy a package or pay by the minute.

Can't answer your question about which is cheaper - using e-mail or cell phone.
