We're on this sailing for the whole 70 days and are both excited about it!

Many questions, though. What is the latest information on the construction supposed to be happening onboard ship? Just how cold will it be around the Horn? If you get assigned early seating can you ever go to open seating, for instance, if you get back late from an excursion? Do you recommend bringing a notebook or is a netbook all that is needed? We will only journal and send and receive emails. Is the luggage pickup and delivery done by FedEx? Is it OK to bring some wine onboard and if so, how much?

We've only done short cruises before, so this all new to us. Thanks for any help, and let us know if you are booked also.

Yes, you can change your seating arrangements whenever you want. It could be cold and rough going around the horn, depending on the time of year. You need something that has wireless access through a browser so a netbook should be ok.
