Red face Noordam and Zuiderdam excellent

Just finished my 3rd Holland America trip this year. I was a avid fan
of Regent, Seabourn, and Silversea-- but I am now hooked on Holland.
The deluxe verhanda suites and aminities are wonderful. service and food also
I found to be superior to many of the high-end lines.
cant wait for my next one. Just booked next chrostmas for my entire family

Glad to hear you had a great time and are now a HAL lover.

We will be on the Eurodam in a couple of weeks for Christmas - have enjoyed a number of Christmas cruises on HAL - they do a great job.

Which ship did you book for next Christmas? I know you will have a great time especially when you have your whole family with you. There are always lots of families on board.

My wife and I have just finished our 6th cruise with HA,we were upgraded to a veranda suite on our China/Vietnam cruise and it was just great,it was like a ballroom in our cabin. We also booked our next cruise and that will be on the Westerdam to Norway in August, its hard to beat a good cruise line.

I am very glad to hear the good report on the Noordam, since we are booked on the other ship of the same class, the Eurodam, for a trans-Atlantic repositioning cruise this spring.

Sorry, but Noordam and Eurodam are not the same class. Noordam is one of the Vista Classs ships and Eurodam is the first of the Signature Class ships. Nieuw Amsterdam (being built now in Italy) will be the 2nd of this Class.

Eurodam is a little bigger and have the following, which to me are a waste of money. The cabanas take away a lot of seating/tables around the mid-ship pool.

Cabanas: Introducing our new private cabanas are available to reserve by the day or by the cruise. Available on two decks, they are tastefully decorated, filled with amenities and provide an exquisite poolside retreat.

The Retreat: Your own private oasis located high above the rest...our exclusive Retreat cabanas are the ultimate place to relax surrounded by healthy refreshments and luxurious amenities.

Eurodam also has the Tamarind Restaurant and Silk Den Lounge: the new Pan-Asian restaurant and lounge with panoramic views of the ocean and Lido Pool area.

We love eating here and having a drink in the evening in the Silk Den Lounge.

Hope you will enjoy the Eurodam as much as we do. We sail on her in 9 days. Ye gods, I'd better start packing.

We will be taking our first HAL cruise in January on the Zuiderdam. This is after 24 odd cruises with RCL as well as Princess, Celebrity and Carnival.

We are quite looking forward to it as I've heard a lot of good things.

Dee Dee thanks for the correction. I can see now that they are not the same class.

You are probably on the Eurodam now. Thanks for the advice.

I heard the 2nd was oversold. Have you heard anything yet? Do you have a cabin assignment?

I have heard ours is also oversold but I've heard nothing yet, nor do we have a cabin assignment.
