Newbie here, first cruise in a couple of weeks now.
We have a cabin with a bath tub, selected precisely for that feature.
Without meds (which I'll bring in abundance!) my legs can be painful enough to put me in bed. I'm very grateful for the meds. Go meds!!
Nevertheless, in the evenings, particularly before bedtime, my legs will (every once in a while) become "cranky." A dip in a tub of hot water makes things right as rain in about 15 minutes. Hence, the tub in the cabin.
I am curious if anyones noticed if the bathwater on Holland ships is hot. I'm guessing they don't allow it to get hot enough to burn someone, but "warm" water won't do the trick for me very well.
Yes, I know there are hot tubs on board, and I'll avail myself of those just for the pleasure of them. And, who knows? A steam room would probably do the trick just as well! A sauna? Love 'em, but have never tried to deploy one for this purpose.
Still, it would be nice to soak away the crankiness (if I need to) without having to venture forth after 10:00 PM at night.
Any opinions?

Yes, be careful or you'll burn your ummm...... toes!
The water will definitely be hot enough to soothe your legs. Do be sure to check it each time. It really could fluctuate enough to scald you .

We were on the Zuiderdam in January and if there was anything that disappointed me it was the water in the shower - not very hot as a matter of fact not hot at all. I could have done with a much hotter shower and still not be scalding.

January 12/13 - Celebrity Reflection
41 cruises - too many to list however cruiselines are in no particular order:
Azamara
Uniworld
RCL
Princess
NCL
HAL
Cunard
Celebrity
and some unknown tub
Well folks, I found it lukewarm at best and only had the hot water on.
Did you report this to maintenance? We've always had plenty of hot water. (No, we haven't cruised HA yet, but I can't believe it would be any different .)

On Princess I figured out that a button had to be press to real hot water.
Exactly.
Perhaps Felix the Cat did not push the red button on the valve in order to get hotter water. Friends we sailed with took cold showers for two days before commenting to us.
We were happy they finally spoke up so we could tell them that red button is a safety stop. Depress it and you can move the water to scalding hot.
Rivilian,
The water will be as hot as you want it and there is plenty of it. There is no shortage of heat sources on a ship!
I notice that you are going to be on the Eurodam. You won't be sharing the repositioning cruise to Rome with us will you?
