Old Town Dubrovnik- During the War and Today

During today's stop on the Nieuw Amsterdam in Dubrovnik, I did a tour that included a stop at what was the Imperial Fortress overlooking the walled old town of Dubrovnik.
Here's a view of what it looked like during the Bosnia-Hercegovian War in 1991, and the same view from today.

I walked round those walls..... nearly killed me!!

We'll see if we can find some of our pics of the city walls as they still show all the scars of battle with bullet holes & shell damage.

What was built as a perfect defensive town in the middle ages turned into a nightmare trap for all the residents during the war.

A lovely city to visit if anyone get's the chance.

Unfortunately I couldn't find the ones I was thinking of, but found these 2 of bullet holes. and decided to add one of the beautiful 'marble' main road.
