Canaletto on Oosterdam

I heard that the Oosterdam has the new restuarant "Canaletto"..

Anyone dined there before? What's your opinion of the food and service?

Also... do reservations fill up fast? Should we make reservations as soon as we board the ship or can we book the day we want to eat there?

We have been to Canaletto on Westerdam, Eurodam and Maasdam but not Oosterdam. They are all the same for the ships that have that restaurant.

We found the food good but not great. Our service was consistently good and it was a nice change of pace and enjoyable. The antipasto tray they pass is one of the best features IMO

We'll probably eat there once on our upcoming Maasdam cruise so clearly we like it well enough to keep returning.

Are reservations often hard to get or can I book it the day before with usually no problem?

Hi Pumpkin Patches , If you like Italian food , I'm sure you will enjoy Canaletto's Italian dishes . They are very similar as far as what I have sampled on the Oosterdam and the Noordam . However , if you don't want to be disappointed , it's better to reserve a day or two in advance especially on the shorter cruises . Lane
