Embarkation Lunch

Does anyone know if all the HAL ships have that wonderful Indonesian luncheon for mariners on embarkation day? It is so great!:D

Didn't know they had an Indonesian lunch on Embarkation day. Where did you hear this?

I understood it is just a regular lunch menu in the MDR.

Normally the Indonesian lunch is served in the Lido during the cruise.

I may be wrong so someone correct me please.

On board the Westerdam, this past December, they did have the luncheon. Not well advertised, to be sure, but we knew about it and it really was to die for. Wondering if they do it on all of the fleet. Fantastic to be sure!

The embarkation luncheon is for past HAL cruisers. They don't advertise it and you are pushed to go up to the Lido when boarding. Past HAL members should just carry on to the Main Dining Room for luncheon.

Hi Suse , The Indonisian luncheon usually takes place later during the cruise and I have never seen it on Embarkation Day . It is offered to HAL's past guests with Mariner status with an invitation card that is delivered to your stateroom with an RSVP attached . If you wish to attend , you simply reply and bring the reply-card to the Front Desk . They will save a seat for you in the Dining Room with a specific time indicated . It is always a delightful meal or buffet served with wine . Hope you will get to experience it on board your next cruise ! Lane

I don't often eat Indonesian food. But, when I do, it is in the MDR on embarkation day.

Stay Cruising Ny Friends!
