Default Ryndam -- Has anyone cruised ?

We are thinking of cruising on the Ryndam. Any likes or dislikes of this ship would be appreciated.

We cruised on the Ryndam last December--of all of the HAL ships we've experienced we both agreed that, so far, she's our favorite. So much so that we have another Ryndam cruise coming up this fall. We're anxious to see her since her *facelift*. In full disclosure, we much prefer the smaller R&S class ships over the larger ones.

A refit - well that would explain why we had 8 sets of cabin keys in less than 24 hours and no cold water supply in our cabin at one point. There were also problems with the TV and DVD.

I HATED the Lido Buffet (Feeding time at the Zoo) and the MDR. Only the Canaletto and Pinnacle restaurants were worth dining in!

The lifts are far too small for the volume of passengers.

The layouts of decks 7 and 8 are very poor - probably because of the MDR.

I would def NOT sail on the Ryndam again!

I'm sure that there are other ships out there that work better for you--different strokes....

We thoroughly enjoy the MDR on all HAL ships--and, as a vegetarian, HAL has the best options offered of any venue I've experienced. My DH, who is not vegetarian, prefers the food in the MDR to the Pinnacle grill. Not a fan of as you wish dining so we still stick to fixed seating.
