Hello, all. My father is happy to be cruising on the Zuiderdam on Sunday, BUT! his team, the Chicago Bears, will be playing the Packers. Do you think there is any chance he will be able to watch the game on the ship??? in the room? in one of the lounges??? hope someone knows....
I was on the Zuiderdam last month .There is a lounge area not far from the casino that had tv's and was broadcasting NBA games .I would think its very likely that they would be showing the football game .
It is likely they will pull a satelite signal down and show the game. It would be on cabin tv's, sports bar (on ships that have one) and a big screen will probably be set up either in Crows Nest, Queen's Lounge or such.
It always depends upon them being able to get the (very costly) signal at sesa.
This reminds me of the time we flew to FL and boarded the day of the Superbowl. Well, I had a Patriots shirt on for the flight and certain flight attendants were giving me the high five! How exciting!
Nevertheless, we were up very early that day and couldn't wait to board the ship. The day of the Superbowl!
Off to get lunch, go through the drill, relax, unpack some clothes and wait for the game! Where to watch?
We decided to wander to find the game and ended back at the stateroom to watch it in peace and quiet, without the crowd noises.
Well. Asleep by half time. True story.

Hey, Suse. Good to see you.
I've enjoyed watching the Superbowl twice aboard damships: once in the Queens Lounge on one ship and once in the Main show room on another. They have GREAT snacks, etc., and the cruise staff put on wonderful commercial break entertainment. On one cruise we were on the South American satellite feed and hence we didn't get to see the good commercials.
