Webcam in FtL

Does anyone know the exact location of the webcam on the first building on the jetty in Ft. Lauderdale? It seems to be located near the palm trees and flag pole, but when we took our last cruise there in March, we could not find it.

It is on or near the first white apartment building coming into the inlet on the starboard side (coming in from sea) wherein all of HAL people ring their bells, wave their HAL flags, and turn lights on and off when we leave.

Many thanks and wave to us when you are leaving!:D

SMILE!

Port Everglades Webcam - A Fort Lauderdale Cruise Ship Web Cam

It is one of the houses along that stretch and he normally has a big sign on his lawn INLETCAM. I've been trying to get into his sight but am having problems. Maybe it's because we are having a dandy storm here and that often screws up my computer.

Thank you, DeeDee, you are correct. There are actually two webcams (did alittle more research on them after I posted my query) and the one which you mention is on a home's palm tree. The home has an orange roof, white canopy, a couple of palm trees out back and a flag pole. This person,I understand, charges to take photos.

The one which I was referring to, which is PortFever, is located on the building which I mentioned above. They are located on the third floor, end apartment, on the left side (as you look over at the building come in from the ocean). The gentleman who ran it just sent me an email. Hoping to look directly into the camera next time, now that I know where to look. Also hoping to see many of you there as well! It is between 2 & 3rd floor and you will see it hanging down somewhat. Building's name is Point of America.

Happy cruising and hoping the weather, esp. in Alabama and Georgia, is safe for all of you.

PS. Will anyone be doing a quick transatlantic to go to the wedding tommorrow? LOL

Yes, we are flying over later this afternoon - bags all packed. We'll be tired but hope to sleep on the plane. :D:rolleyes:

Last time we were on the Eurodam we were on the starboard side, so didn't see the houses and apartments, but I do remember one time I saw Inlet Cam's sign and it was on his lawn - big sign. I'll watch for it when we are on the ship at Christmas.

And during the off peak times as well (Nordam and another ship left this afternoon). I also like to track the ships by satellite and see where they are and how fast they are going. Unfortunately, this is done as I am sitting stationary in my den, not out on deck feeling those balmy breezes, sunlight hitting my toes with a pina colada in my hand.:):p
