Marriott Ft. Lauderdale Marina

Hello. We're cruising the Millinnium out of Ft. Lauderdale on Nov. 4.
We booked this hotel for a one night pre-cruise stay. Has anyone stayed here. It looks good on the website. And it seems to be centrally located to all the action.

Also, we'll have the afternoon and evening to see Ft. Lauderdale. Any suggestions. We've cruised from there before but never went a day early.

Hello,

I have stayed there. It has A tiki bar and pool. Eateries..and a marina of course. Kinda cool to see all the yachts.

As for things to do there is a mall half way between I-95 and the hotel.

We too have stayed there several times and have always been pleased. Yes, the yachts are something to see.

We stayed at the Marriott Marina and enjoyed the stay. Request a room in the tower with a view of the Port - vrs a garden room that overlooks pool area. We enjoyed lunch at the Tiki Bar and just relaxed.

What to do? You could take a water taxi or taxi to Los Olas and walk around the shops - quite interesting. Also lots of nice places to eat. If you have time, there are two companies that do water tours of the FLL area. You get to see some really expensive homes. We find this a relaxing trip. The boats have airconditoned spaces as well as the outdoor deck area. Check out www.greatlocations.com - River Tours or Carrie. Avoid the jungle Queen!

If you need sodas or last minute stuff, you can walk to grocery store from the Marriott.
