Default Miami - Hyatt or Marriott

We are now debating between the Hyatt or Marriott for two nights pre cruise....family of 4. I am fairly familiar with the Marriott but does anyone have comments about the Hyatt? Comparison of the two?
Thanks
Kim

Kim,

I just booked the with the Marriot for a new property they are opening in a few weeks that over looks Biscayne Bay and is a 21 story building that Marriott has totally renovated. It is a half mile from the pier, on Biscayne Blvd. Roof Top pool, and for a family of four I got it for $89 thats with a view of the bay. With Marriotts
history i would say this should be a great hotel. I booked for the weekend prior to
Thanksgiving. Happy sailing.

Kim,

Its call the Renaissance Miami Biscayne Bay hotel on Biscayne Bay. I did a search on www.marriott.com, then clicked on reanaissance hotels, the Florida and it came up. So i called the 800 number for Marriotts, and they told me it totally renovated and due to open at the end of October. Great prices! I also received an email from a past cruiser recommending the Days Inn North Miami which is on the Ocean, she has great things to say about this hotel but it is like a 20 minute drive to the port. I went to the daysinn.com site and found it for like 59.00. If you need more info or help let me know. When are you cruising?

Cindy

Cindy...I'm a little behind posting. I found the hotel. Thanks so much. I was able to book at $99 a large corner room looking out on the bay. I agree...it should be great. Thanks for the tip. We are leaving December 22nd and will spend two nights there before.
