Default New hotel rate in FLL

Hyatt is offering special rates. They have a $159 rate at FLL Hyatt Regency Pier 66. Even with $40 in taxi ($10 to/from airport and $10is to from hotel), this is considerably cheaper than the $200+ rate pp for the same hotel (through the cruise line).

Does anyone know if I can order the transfers through the cruise line with no hotel and no air? Thanks!

One question...Just noticed that the new Renaissance Ft. Lauderdale is offering a rate of $149 on concierge floor and free transportation to and from the airport.

The advantage of the Hyatt is that the cruise ship (Radisson) has this hotel as one of its hotels, so there will be an info desk there. We would have to pay taxi to and from the airport, where Renaissance picks up the tab. I am a Hyatt gold passport member, so I'll probably get an upgrade.

We have only 24 hours at the hotel --check in until we leave for the ship about 2-2:30. The Renaissance comes out about $20 less. Which would you select?

Andrea,
We were just there. The Renaissance is brand new. Beautiful! I would chose that one. Cathy andrea wrote:

Thanks. I switched my reservation to Renaissance and even got it free through my frequent stayer card! How close is it to the port and the other hotels?
