Just curious, anyone tried this hotel yet? I'm going to stay there pre-Golden in Nov. simply because I wasn't happy with AmeriSuites at all when I stayed there. I figured time to change and a new hotel might be a good thing! Sue
Saw your post on Cruisemates and we are going to FLL on 11/7/02 pre cruise. I have never used Priceline but rates look great compared to Expedia, Travelocity, etc. Many folks are getting Embassy Suites for $50 to $60. If I bid and don't get Embassy suites, what am I likely to get?
Does Embassy Suites take care of shuttle to hotel and to ship? Which Embassy suites did you stay at, and do you recommend that I wait a while before booking as our final cruise payment is not due until 9/10/02. As you can clearly see, I am a rookie at this bid for hotels business and need help.
I originally had a reservation at Amerisuites at $99 per night. I went to Priceline (which I have never done before) and got a room at Renaissance for $55 per night. I'm HAPPY. I'll try to remember to let you know how it is. We will be there for one night before our Grand Princess cruise on Sept 15. Just 34 days, but who's counting?
I was a little scared about Priceline but they give a pretty precise area of hotels. Not like you get a room 5 miles up the beach. It is on 17th St and you can even see the tops of the ships from some of the higher hotel floors.
