Sheraton Yankee Trader is on the beach (nice wide part. Across the road is the intracoastal. You can walk(a few blocks) to any number of shops and restaurants along the A1A opposite the beach and nearby is the Marina where all the charter fishing and dive boats berth. Across the road is the Jungle Queen paddle wheel boat tour of the intra coastal. It is cheesy , cheap, lots of fun and a good way to spend an afternoon and tour the intracoastal waterway. You can see the port and ships from that hotel.
We stayed just down the road at the Radisson Bahia Mar. Nothing wrong with it. A full service hotel with shops , restaurants etc. Atttracts the yachting crowd because it is part of the Bahia Mar Marina.
