my wife and i are going on the paradise 9/22 and going down to key west for a couple of days when we get back. looking for a hotel that is under$100 and close to duval st.

Joe, I'm sorry I wasn't able to read your request earlier. Last night I booked the Sheraton in Key West for $66.00. a night plus tax. I used hotwire.com. The thing about hotwire is they will not tell you the hotel until you have paid. They go by stars. What I did was use my AAA book as reference. When you are on hotwire it will tell you what they have in their facilities. (Close to airport etc.) In the AAA book I think there were only 4 near the airport. So, I know you can get a good deal. Maybe on another trip you can try them.

Everything's close to Duval Street. Key West is tiny.I'd get a guidebook and stay at one of the beautiful restored Vctorians. They have a lot more character tha chains like the Hyatt or Sheraton. It's like San Francisco in the tropics.
