Nice hotel, in an excellent location. Ask for a room with a view of the pier. The Marriott is my hotel of choice when I pre or post cruise in Lauderdale.

Barb, the Marriott Marina is a nice hotel. Very neat, and clean. It has a really cool outdoor bar & grill that overlooks the waterway, people just drive up dock their boats and come ashore for a drink or sandwich. There usually are some Huge yachts docked at the pier alongside the hotel. Take a stroll. We had a room in the front part of the hotel where we could see our ship coming in. It was neat, it was really really early in the morning and my husband wakes me up and says "come out onto the balcony youv'e got to see this". It was just one more thing to get us into the cruise groove. This hotel is also very close to the shopping district about 3 blocks you can walk it or take a cab, there is a supermarket, drugstore things like that. Some really good restaurants close by also.

Thank you all for the helpful advice. We got this hotel for $60 on Priceline and feel we really got a great deal. Our travel agent wanted to book us into the other Marriott down there for $160.00. I must say, this is all new to me, but these sites have been awesome for helping us plan and work out the details. again....thanks
