Yankee Trader or Yankee Clipper?

I am booked on the Century on 09/06/2003 out of Fll. Had a question about pre and post cruise hotel. I will be spending 2 nights pre-cruise and 3 nights post cruise. I'm wanting to stay somewhere that's: 1. On the beach. 2. Near some shopping. 3. Near the nightlife. 4. Not to far from the airport or pier. I have always sailed out of Miami, and have only driven through Fll, so I haven't a clue. Also, am trying to stay away from getting a rental car (Hate to drive).

Any suggestions? I was mulling over the Yankee Trader or Yankee Clipper but can't seem to tell the differance between the two.
