Westin-Fort Lauderdale

HAL booked us at the Westin Fort Lauderdale one night, pre-cruise this month. Anyone out there have any comments about the hotel?

Is it near any shops (we like to buy a few bottles of champagne to take onboard)? Are there restaurants in the hotel? A nice pool?

Most importantly - I have a phobia about I-95 - how far is the Westin from the airport? I hate that highway and would almost walk 20 miles before I ventured onto it! (Hard to believe I grew up in Detroit - the home of cars, freeways and crazy drivers!)
