Default Holiday Inn - Port of Miami

Just wondering if anyone has stayed at this hotel? Is it located across the street from Bayside Market Place? Any information about the hotel and area would be helpful.
Thanks

Positives: Across from Bayside, close to port.
Negatives: Sort of a dump, but ok just for one night.

drjacktravel - Thanks for your reply. Now just wondering if I should pay the $108 plus tax to stay there or if I should try Priceline and try and get the Hyatt for $35. Have never used Priceline - so a little scared to try it. When you stayed at the Holiday Inn - did you have a room with a view of the port? Was your room dirty?

When we got to our room, it had not been cleaned!! We had a late arrival and checked in at 8pm. We, of course, were given another room, but save your money!
We are leaving from Miami on the Majesty of the Seas this March 22. I just went to Priceline and got a room at the Radisson Miami Hotel for $40.00 a night! On their website, the cheapest I could get was $129.00. I, too, was a little scared, but I've had alot of friends to use Priceline and they have always been pleased.

Thank you all for your in put. We had reservations at the Holiday Inn at the price of $108.00. I went on to Priceline.com and booked a room at the Radisson for $35.00. Our cruise vacation just keeps getting better and better. We are traveling with some friends of ours and they opted to do the cruise package with the cruise air. We are going down a day early with our own air and saving $465.00 then what our friends are paying. It sure is worth shopping around.
Thanks again to all of your responces.
Jennifer
