Cruising out of Tampa in August and looking to possibly catch a game in St Pete. Can anyone give me info on transportation from Tampa to St Pete. What options do i have? How much? and how long does the trip take?
We will probably be staying in hotel in downtown Tampa.
Tampa to tropicana field is about a 40 min drive. Cab fare would be about 65.00 MOL.
best thing to do is call the hotel and ask if any bar in the area has a game deal to and from a game. The bar I go to allways has a deal like 30.00 pp with free beer on the bus.Seats at the game are ok. Good luck
This would be off season in Florida and rental car rates are very good at this time of the year in the Tampa Area. The trop is very easy to find in St. Pete if you are driving, you can come across a car from $23-35 a day. We often stay at the Tampa Airport Hilton Hotel which 2 miles from the airport, the shutte will pick you up and then take you to the rental cars. The shuttle also shuttles around the hotel area. The Hilton has a port shutlte to take you to the cruise Terminal, the transfer is $5 per person which includes the drivers tip, we found from talking to others the hilton shuttle is very slick and organized to the port. Enjoy
Without trying to get any free advertising I work for Hertz rent a car and we have a branch located at the Marriott Waterside (about 1/2 mile from port) that gives a free ride to the port when you return a car there. Rates should be pretty reasonable at that time of year. Good Luck
