pre/post hotel recommendations for Cape Canaveral

I am trying to book a hotel for a Nov 2004 cruise leaving Cape Canaveral. Does any one have any suggestions, Also any suggestions on Dining in this area.

We have a cruise in Sept. out of Port Canaveral. We booked the Radisson there. I think it's the closest to the port. They have free shuttles to it. The best thing is you can park your car at the hotel all week for free. (saves you $70 for the parking garage). It was $89/night for a king bed room.

Rusty's, on Glen Cheek Drive at the Port has great food. We live in the area and go at least once a week. Nice atmosphere, too. They just added on an outside deck and have live music quite often.

CAN YOU TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT THE DAYS INN? WILL BE DOWN FRIDAY, MARCH THE 6TH. IS IT CLOSE TO THE PIER. WHAT ABOUT THE PIER WHERE ALL THE EATING JOINTS ARE? THANKS

The Days Inn is almost right next to The Pier. You can walk there, no problem.

We had friends stay there last summer while they were in town. They did not seem to have any complaints. We are supposed to have great beach weather this week.
