Default Hotel close to Port Canaveral

Any Ideas on a good place to stay in Port Canaveral before our cruise.

The Radisson is the closest and provides parking for the week and shuttle to the port. Decent rates ($99) are available. However, some Cocoa Beach (nearby) hotels have closed due to serious damage since the hurricanes. Thus rates and availability at the Radisson may be higher. Doubltree, Holiday Inn and Ron Jon's new Caribe resort to name a few are closed. You should book as soon as possible. There is a Budget car rental on the same road as the Radisson.
Bon Voyage

My DH and I purchased a pre-cruise package for this port. We're flying in on Friday and staying at the Marriot Airport Olrando for $100. They have a free shuttle to and from the airport. So, Saturday morning, we just take the shuttle back to the airport and then get on the Cruise shuttle. This worked out best for us since we weren't planning on renting a car. We're going on Glory, Feb 12, 2005.

The $100 fee is for the hotel AND the shuttle to and from the ship. We booked it through our TA who arranged it through Carnival. So, it's a very good deal!!!

We just got a room on priceline (3 star hotel) for a $50 bid (plus tax and fees is about $58) and will drive a rental van from Budget (about $40 for a one way) to the port on the following day. Go Priceline- got a better deal on the return night!!
