Priceline or Hotwire hotels in Miami

I'd be interested if anybody has gotten a hotel through priceline or hotwire in Miami, and if so, what was the hotel and at what price? Thanks!

Yup.. several times. I've turned into a Priceline maniac when it comes to hotel.

Bid 3 star downtown zone Miami, and you'll get Raddison, Doubletree, Hyatt or Sheraton. All in great locations, as far as proximity to the pier, and all decent hotel rooms. Start around $35 + .

4 star downtown will get you the InterContinental. We stayed there last year for $100.

Re: Priceline or Hotwire hotels in Miami

I just got a bid accepted for Downtown Miami. I am traveling in March 2005 during Spring Break. Don't know if this was the reason, but I got a 65.00 bid accepted for Hyatt.

I started at 45.00 and bid in $5 increments every 3 days (the minimum # of days between the same bids). I guess because Spring Break time made it higher than the $35-$40 figure I see floating around all the time.

Still, it- by far- beats the $210 price tag on that hotel if I booked thru hotels.com or the like.

Goodluck!
