Default Which hotel in Fort Lauderdale?

We are staying for a night or two prior to our cruise. We either want to stay at Sheraton Yankee Clipper becasue it is right on the beach, or Embassy Suites due to the free shuttles from the airport and to the pier. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!

I've not stayed at either place, but just toured Embassy Suites two weeks ago. What a beautiful place. I would stay there in a heartbeat. The location is close to both the airport and pier.

I vote Embassy Suites. Free shuttle airport to hotel and hotel to port (make a reservation for that when you check in). Room is a suite. Two tv's sitting room with couch and a table etc. Free full breakfast and huge buffet served in Atrium Garden setting. Next door and accross the street are shopping centers to fulfill all your food needs and any last minute shopping.
We will be staying there for the second time in late April.

I agree with both choices. The Sheraton tends to
be less expensive, has great location, and does do
justice to the " name chain " expectations.
EMbassy : exactly likewise; seems to me they might
be a tad more expensove.
Anotheer good " recommendation" for thos two hotels
is the fact cruise companies use them as "pre-post"
hotels for thei programs.
