This is quite a good hotel; formerly " Hotel Georgia ".
In terms of architecture, just lovely. Clean, old style, not
exactly ***** ....but close enough to **** with good location,
agreable amenities, reasonnable price, walking distance to
every downtown points of interest and shopping.
You'll love it.
On cruise day, a short cab ride away, $ 8.xx Cdn
Your bags will be taken right out of the taxi-cab,.only to be seen
next around mid p.m. at your cabin door.
I live In Victoria BC and go over to Vancouver about three times a year for business. Last year I stayed at the Crown Plaza and I thought it was getting on in years and not aging well. It is not a 5 star hotel, heck, not even a close 4 star.
It is a short cab ride to Canada Place but then so are a number of nicer hotels. I am going over this week for 6 nights, my company tried to put me back into the Hotel Georgia and I asked to stay at the Pacific Palisades on Robson street also very very close to Canada Place, but much nicer bigger rooms comfortable beds, nice wine reception in lobby nightly,
Pan Pacific and Fairmont Waterfront are right at Canada Place. I think that you do better the Crown Plaza...
