Emassy Suites vs. Sheraton Yankee Clipper-FLL
Any imput on which is better? We have two kids and will be spending 1 day in Fort Lauderdale after our cruise. Kids would like a pool, we would like to be able to walk to get dinner and get to the water taxi.
Thanks!

I've stayed at the Yankee Clipper Sheraton many years ago. Its right on the beach so you have access to the pool as well as the ocean. I really liked it there.

we have stayed at the Embassy Suites so i can give you an opinion on that.
The larger room is great with kids, they get the "living room" which has a pull-out sofa bed, they get their own TV. Mom & Dad get a private bedroom with door, wardrobe and television. Each suite has a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker.
The decor is beautiful. The pool area is great, nice, neat, clean, the waterfall is fun.
The staff is very helpful and friendly
Grocery store across the street, strip mall next door. Restaurants within walking distance.
Included in your rate: shuttle service from airport to hotel, from hotel to pier. Happy hour with cocktails and munchies, Full buffet breakfast (not just a Continental breakfast)

Whereever we go, we always try to stay at teh E.S. Love the size of the rooms and the free breakfast is awesome. Made to order omelettes, other hot itemss, fruits, breads, cereals....lots to choose from. Also the happy hour from 5-7 (I think) has free drafts, well drinks, and munchies (probably soda as well but I don't go that route 8) ). Would be staying there in a week when we leave for our trip but it was all sold out when we tried to book 4 months ago. Seems like a popular place to stay so if you are planning on it, you might want to make reservations soon.

We are also fans of the Embassy Suites. It's very convenient to everything we need (supermarket, restaurants) and we try to get a room up high, facing the port, so that we can see the ships arriving and leaving.
The breakfast is one of the best ones we've had that are complimentary.

Embassy Suites will give you everything you need including close to restaurants, full hot, made to order breakfast and managers cocktail party, plus a great pool, etc.
