Default PAN PACIFIC/VANCOUVER ANYONE????

HAS ANYONE OUT THERE STAYED AT THE PAN PACIFIC IN VANCOUVER?

All we know is what we have read on their website.

Thanks,
Bandrews

I have stayed at the Pan Pacific and it is beautiful! The king size beds are very comfortable and the rooms are more than comfortably furnished. Worth it to get the water view. And this is an very good location downtown - there are a number of great coffee places within walking distance.

Enjoy!

Thank you for your reply. I was so hoping someone would answer my question. We are a long way from anything up North, and especially anything across the Canadian border. We really didn't have any way of judging our decision. We were having to trust the advertisment. Thats one issue that we can now put to rest. Thank you.

Pan is a beautiful hotel, but we actually enjoyed the Fairmont across the street even better. You can't go wrong with either. We did find the Fairmont a little cheaper. Both offer Entertainment Book rates.

Default Pan Pacific anyone

THANKS SEASAIL,

WE REALLY CONSIDERED THE FAIRMONT, BUT DECIDED ON THE PAN PACIFIC. WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE REALLY AWSOME TO SEE THE SHIPS COMING IN.

THANKS,
BAndrews

One of the nicest things about the Pan Pacific is that if your cruise leaves from the Canada Place pier, you can just ride the elevator to the lower level and be at the boarding area. If you get a harbor view room you can watch your "ship come in". Here's a tip...We booked the lowest cost room, but arrived early for check in (not really planned, it just happened); and when we got there our low cost room wasn't ready, so they gave us a deluxe harbor view room for the same price!

I have stayed there, it was beautiful! We also had an entertainment book, and we were able to use the coupon at 50% off. I don't know if that offer is still available.

Default Vancouver hotels

Stayed at the Pan last year and got a good deal on Hotwire which usually gives you the city view. Upgrades were I think 60 CAD for a harbour view.

If you try Hotwire and search under the Vanouver-West region ... the 5 star option came up as the Pan Pacific for us ... 150 per night for July 07.

The Westin Bayshore, not too far away, is also a wonderful hotel with a good location.
