Default Stay & Sail Hotels in San Pedro

Does anyone have names of hotels in San Pedro where you can stay and park while you are on the cruise? Going to Hawaii in December and would rather park at hotle then at the pier.

Thanks

Default Might look at....

....the HOliday Inn at San Pedro. Don't know if they have park and sail or not - but they do have a garage....

We flew in this past April and they provided transport from airport to hotel to pier.

Was leery since I wasn't hearing much nice about the area.....but it was a very, very nice hotel and the folks who worked there were extremely friendly.

Take a look at their web site.

Good luck and enjoy the cruise to Hawaii - it was great leaving from LA and returning to LA!

Hi!
I've stayed three times at the Crowne Plaza LA Harbor with their Park & Sail package. They have free parking for the duration of your cruise. That's a good thing, since we're going there for the fourth time in Sept and it's a 19 day cruise (yea!!!). Besides the overnight, you get free transportation within a 5 mile radius of the hotel and to and from the port. You also get a breakfast for two and a bottle of wine (or sparkling cider) - we're usually so exhausted by the time we get there that we take the wine on the ship for later enjoyment.

We are also leaving from San Pedro. I Googled "Port of Los Angeles" and several park and cruise hotels came up.We chose to stay at the Double Tree. Similar deal as previous poster. Free parking.Complimentary shuttle to cruise center, complimentary breakfast and choice of wine or sparkling wine. I guess if you don't drink it you could store it in your car since they no longer let you bring booze on board. Hope this info helps.
Happy cruising, MG

Hi Mry girl!

I wasn't aware of a Doubletree in San Pedro! Could you please tell me where it's located?

Also: Where did you hear that we can't bring the wine/cider on board?

Thanks!

Shar

Burried deep in your "contract" is a line that says passengers will not bring aboard alcoholic beverages. Now, if you only have one bottle of wine or hard liquor it may not be noticed by the baggage x-ray machine operator....but I have had them sequester my bags when I had a couple of bottles of water! You have to open the bag and show them the bottles. If they determine it is alcohol they hold the bottle[s] for you until you depart the ship at the end of your trip.
I got some nice Jamacian Rum one time at the Duty Free Shop and transferred it into an empty water bottle with no consequences.

I guess it mostly depends upon whether the x-ray machine operator is awake or not....nice to know that they are so careful about paying attention to contraband!
